Just a few quick thoughts for the week before I see on you Wednesday or Thursday . . .
Don't forget Parent-Teacher Conferences this Wednesday and Thursday. If you have forgotten your conference time call the office. If for some reason you find you are unable to attend please email me or call the office and let them know.
If you would like to volunteer for the KU Women's Field Trip I need to know by Wednesday so we can turn in our shirt orders. You have to have a t-shirt, this is your ticket into the game as a chaperon.
In math ...
Unit 4 tests were gone over today in class, but students will not be bringing them home. They will stay here until conferences.
This week we began another unit on fractions. We are working hands on using geoboards and dot paper to draw and design fractions. Students were given their new vocabulary words on Monday.
In writing . . .
This week students have been working on writing stamina. They were given several prompts and 5 minutes of time to write as much as possible. We will then take these prompts and develop stories.
There is no spelling this week!
Don't forget about the upcoming field trip on Tuesday next week!
