Week of May 10-14

I hope all you moms had a fantastic Mother's Day!
Only 12 days of school left!
This week 5th graders began trying out band and orchestra instruments in the morning. This will prepare them for next year when this is available as a class.
In math this week we are working on geometry: measuring angles, polygons, and on to circles. Your students need to be studying their list of divisibility rules. There will be a quiz over these next week.

Due to the time we are spending trying out band and orchestra instruments our writing block has been cut short. We will continue with spelling the next few weeks and a few short writing projects, but we will not have another big project this year.

This week teachers will begin working on class lists for next year. If you have any special considerations you would like for your child please make sure you have the appropriate form filled out in the office. Even if you spoke to the classroom teacher, you still need to fill out the form. Thanks!

All library books are due Friday!
