Week of March 1-5

Thanks to all the parents who came to conferences. Our conversations really help your students to become more successful.

Spelling is back this week. The words are posted on the blog or students should bring home their spelling text books to study from. Remember that tests are every Friday, unless stated otherwise.

In math this week students will be learning and practicing long division with 2-digit divisors. On Monday we will take a quiz to determine who has already mastered long division and who still needs to work on it. Those who show proficiency will be working on an alternate lesson where they will be developing lesson plans to teach their peers lattice multiplication. Their peers will in turn grade them with a rubric. This lesson will take place next week, after students have taken a test over Unit 9, which should happen Monday or Tuesday.

Our persuasive letters are almost finished. We have had quite a challenge getting them typed with state assessments going on and computers in high demand. If your student can type at that would really help out!

Look for Original Works package to come home Monday!
Have an awesome week!
