Spring Break was nice, but it sure is good to be back!
In math this week students will receive their new set of vocabulary words for Unit 10. Remind your children not to wait until the last minute to study these!Unit 10 is over Maps, Coordinates, and Negative Numbers. Thanks to all those who participated in the KU Basketball enrichment project. It was a lot of fun and a great way for students to use their newly acquired math skills in a real world setting.
This week we officially kicked off our research project and I am thrilled with how excited they are to research. This week students need to narrow down their topic, write 5 broad questions to guide their research, and collect their resources. They will turn this Step 1 sheet in on Friday morning. Please encourage your child to take a trip the public library to find resources.
Spelling is back this week and words are posted on the blog.
We have started to receive responses to our persuasive letters. Hopefully we will hear from the President soon!
Don't forget State Assessments begin next week!
