Week of March 8-12

One week until Spring Break!

Math .. .
In math this week we are finishing up our unit on division. The students had some review work to do in their DAB book over the weekend and we graded that together in class. On Monday they students are to correct anything they missed and complete page 150 in their DAB book as extra practice. This page does not need to be turned in to class, so parents will want to check over it to give students feed back. Their unit 9 test will be Tuesday and their is no vocabulary section for this test.
On Wednesday students will complete their special project they have been working on. For this project half the class will be teaching lattice multiplication to their peers and their students will grade them on how well they prepared and presented. It should be a lot of fun.
Also, this week in math: Look for an extra credit opportunity that will be due after Spring Break!

In writing...
We have finally finished up our persuasive letters and I stuck those in the mail today. Once they are graded a copy of them will be sent home. We are hoping to get some responses soon!
Last week we started working on poetry in class. This was really a lot of fun and students have published and illustrated their poems, which I have hung outside our room in the pod. If you have a chance come check they out.
