Happy Halloween Week!
In math this week . . .
This week in math we continue working on division. On Monday students took a pre-test to see which methods they were more familiar with. We will continue learning both methods of division this week, as well as a lesson involving averages.
In writing this week . . .
Students will finish up their scary/mystery stories on Tuesday and we will share them the rest of the week. Don't forget that spelling tests have moved to Fridays!
Also, look for the announcement of the winners of the scary story contest in the October 31 Pulse Edition of the Lawrence Journal World. Mrs. Minor's class had eight entries! Good luck to all those who chose to participate.
On Friday...
The Halloween Parade starts at 2:30. Students will begin getting into their costumes at 2:15. Students will parade through the pods and out onto the blacktop. The Halloween party will begin immediately following the parade.
Parent Teacher Conferences - A note will go home this week with your assigned time for Parent Teacher Conferences. If you did not sign up for a time at Back to School Night one will be given to you. If this time does not work with your schedule I will try to accommodate you as I best can, but please understand that with 30 students conference spaces are limited. If you know you did not sign up and have a preferred day or time of day please let me know as soon as possible! Thanks!
