Students will also have notes in their math notebooks that an help them get started on problems if they are stuck. Please refer to these notes for suggestions on how to help.

Students are finishing up their personification piece, which we will be sharing with our second grade book buddies on Friday. Students are also finishing writing a paragraph about quotes on success. Students had a choice of quote and they picked one that was the most meaningful to them. These will be on display for conferences.
Students will also be starting a new writing piece this week - suspense/mystery. This will be a great opportunity for students to work on story elements.
This week 5th grade will also be changing to our new schedule in our to accomidate the help of our newest 5th grade teacher, Mr. Koerner.
* Next Monday, October 12, 5th grade will be attending a play at the Lied Center. Information about the play was sent home on Friday.
